Donation Policy

At The Heart of Peace Foundation, we believe generosity is gratitude in motion. Every donation — of any size — is received with deep appreciation and the understanding that it represents trust. We honor that trust through transparent stewardship, responsible allocation, and genuine accountability.

The Heart of Peace Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

You will receive a donation receipt via email for your records. For donations of $250 or more, we provide a formal acknowledgment letter as required by the IRS.

Our EIN (Employer Identification Number) is available upon request.

We allocate donations across our five action areas:

• Mindfulness and meditation programs

• Community nourishment initiatives (food programs, community meals)

• Educational content and resources (including our blog and interactive tools)

• Cultural preservation and creative arts programs

• International partnership projects (Peace Mandala, Mexico)

We strive to maximize the impact of every dollar. Our board of directors reviews financial allocations quarterly to ensure alignment with our mission and community needs.

Recurring donations provide stable, predictable funding that allows us to plan long-term programs and make sustained commitments to our community. You may modify or cancel recurring donations at any time by contacting us at donate@theheartofpeace.org.

We understand that circumstances change. If you need to request a refund of a donation:

• Requests made within 30 days of the donation will be honored in full

• Requests made after 30 days will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis

• Refunds will be issued to the original payment method when possible

We welcome in-kind donations (goods, services, volunteer time) that support our mission. Please contact us before making in-kind donations to ensure we can accept and effectively use them. Tax deductibility of in-kind donations depends on the type and value — consult your tax advisor.

We respect your privacy and will never sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. Donor information is kept confidential and secure.

If you wish to make an anonymous donation, we will honor that request. Anonymous donors receive the same tax documentation but are not publicly acknowledged unless they choose otherwise.
